Playwright

Randy Reinholz (Choctaw) made his playwriting debut in 2013 with the first stage reading of Off The Rails, a bawdy and irreverent adaptation of Shakespeare’s Measure for Measure.

Off the Rails went on to be produced in 2015 in Los Angles as was selected for the prestigious Oregon Shakespeare Festival's 2017 season, the first ever play put on by the festival from a Native American writer.

L.A. Weekly wrote: "Off the Rails, Randy Reinholz’s engaging adaptation of Measure for Measure, interweaves strands of American history, chiefly the Native American struggle to preserve tribal identity, with the themes and cadences of Shakespearean comedy."(March 3, 2015)
